Good news if you're on a controlled-medication treatment in Brazil: Anvisa has authorized digital blue and yellow prescriptions, which until now only existed on paper. This is a change in national regulation (RDC No. 1,000/2025), available to any licensed doctor in Brazil.

What changes for the patient

Once the digital prescription is available, you'll get it on your phone instantly — no waiting for mail, no risk of it getting lost or damaged, and valid at any authorized pharmacy anywhere in Brazil.

PresençaMed already issues digital blue and yellow prescriptions

The prescription comes out with official numbering from the national system, digitally signed, and reaches your phone right away, ready to show at the pharmacy. This applies to blue B1 and yellow — blue B2, used for appetite suppressants, is not issued by PresençaMed.

In the first few weeks, since the system is new for everyone, some pharmacies may not yet be used to this format — if that happens, just let us know and we'll sort it out with you.

Frequently asked questions

Can blue or yellow prescriptions already be digital?

Yes — blue B1 and yellow, and PresençaMed already issues them in that format, with official numbering from the national system. Blue B2 (appetite suppressants) is not issued by us.

Does paper lose its validity with this change?

No. Paper remains fully valid; what's new is that the digital option now exists too.

Is the digital prescription valid at any pharmacy?

The regulation says yes, at any authorized pharmacy in Brazil. Since the system is new, it may take a few weeks for every pharmacy to be fully adapted.
